Children's Concert with Gao Hong

Chinese musician Gao Hong will present an interactive family program where she introduces many of the techniques used on the Chinese lute, the pipa, and will show how they are used to tell stories and imitate sounds of nature. At the end she will let several children attempt to play the techniques (with her help) and introduce a new children’s book, “The Chirps in Gao Hong’s Pipa” that shares one of her childhood stories in both English and Chinese.
