Event Description

Join the library and Mayo Clinic Biomedical Ethics Research for a virtual book discussion on When My Time Comes: Conversations About Whether Those Who Are Dying Should Have the Right to Determine When Life Should End by Diane Rehm. Through her distinctive interview style, Diane Rehm gives voice to a broad range of people linked to the realities of medical aid in dying. Interviews with terminally ill patients and their loved ones, physicians, ethicists and religious leaders capture the many ways we struggle with and accept the ending of life. Rehm provides full context for current social debates about policies granting greater individual control over our own final chapter. Minimal familiarity with the book needed to join in!
