Event Description
Discover the rich history of the 5000-year-old sport of Falconry: taking quarry with a trained raptor! Master falconer Jackie Fallon will share the history, types of birds flown in the sport and each bird's uniqueness for the job at hand, as well as the daily routine and responsibilities of a licensed falconer in Minnesota.
Falconers also have a rich history in saving endangered species and Fallon will highlight some of those stories, such as peregrine falcons, American kestrels, and others. Several live birds will join her, so bring a camera and your questions.
