The news is filled with wildfires, immense precipitation events, and extreme heat. We hear how they impact the lives of people, the environment, and communities. But do you know how they will impact your health and that of your family in the coming decades? Join us to find out. 

LWV Rochester, in partnership with Olmsted County Public Health Services and the Rochester Public Library, is presenting this program to provide reliable information on what to expect as the climate changes in SE Minnesota and the public health consequences of that change. You will hear from state climate and county health experts:  

• Kenneth (“Kenny”) Blumenfeld, Ph.D.Senior Climatologist State Climatology Office Division of Ecological Water Resources Minnesota Department of Natural Resources 

• Cody Miller,  Environmental Health Specialist Olmsted County Health Services 

• Sarah Stevens, Public Health Nurse Manager Olmsted County Health Services 

Their presentations will be followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions. Questions can be submitted ahead of time by emailing LWVRochester@LWVMN.org.
