Program Description

Event Description

Food insecurity is a problem that 14,000 individuals and 4,000 children face daily in Olmsted County.

We invite you to join us for a presentation of the recent food security assessment and a discussion to better understand this growing issue. During the presentation, we will also discuss our next key steps in the fight against hunger.

A county-wide food security assessment was conducted in 2020-2021 thanks to funding from the Southeastern Regional Sustainability and Development Partnerships. This assessment is centered on four ideas: how we can GROW, EAT, LEARN, and SHARE Olmsted County’s food system so that every family who calls our county home has plenty of nourishing and culturally appropriate food to eat.

Come learn about the results of this assessment and how you can be involved in the important action steps that come next.
