Program Description

Event Description

The Rochester Public Library and Rochester Reading Champions present "The Right To Read" film documentary.

According to The Nation's Report Card, in 2022, only 32% of 4th graders in Minnesota were reading at grade-level proficiency. Join us for a screening of The Right to Read film. The actions taken by an activist, a teacher, and two American families as they fight for equitable literacy instruction are highlighted in this film. Our goal is to come together as a community to address this concern for students in Rochester and beyond.

The film will be followed by a short talk from the office of Instruction and Curriculum at Rochester Public Schools.
