Program Description

Event Description

Join Decolonize Sudan, a grassroots, Sudanese-led organization, in an afternoon screening of the acclaimed documentary “Sudan, Remember Us” accompanied by an advocacy training to learn about what is going on in Sudan and how you can support. Our advocacy trainings empower Sudanese organizers, allies, and community members with the tools they need to take action in support of Sudanese liberation. Each session provides a clear, accessible, and digestible overview of the current conflict in Sudan, equipping participants with the context necessary to effectively advocate for change. Attendees learn how to counter harmful narratives and mobilize for Sudan. The program connects advocacy to broader struggles for liberation, grounding each session in an anti-imperial framework while offering practical strategies for building campaigns and influencing policy.

Popcorn and water will be provided.
