The Kalimba King will give a high-energy, interactive performance featuring educational songs, jazz, pop & blues played on 12 kalimbas (African thumb pianos). This family program will also allow participants to play the kalimbas.

Learn first-hand about owl adaptations by picking out the pieces and parts that belong to an owl and putting them into a “magic” box. If correct, a live owl comes out from under the magic box for a visit.
Wear your pajamas, bring your stuffed friend and listen to a story. Then, tuck your pal into bed and wish them sweet dreams. Who knows what adventures they will have overnight in the library!
On this special musical journey, Siama Matuzungidi plays intricate, rhythmic guitar and traditional African instruments while Dallas Johnson encourages everyone to sing along to happy songs in Kikongo, Lingala & English.
