Author J. Ryan Stradal

Join us at the Historic Chateau Theater for a talk from J. Ryan Stradal, best-selling author of Saturday Night at the Lakeside Supper Club, The Lager Queen of Minnesota, and Kitchens of the Great Midwest.  His novels celebrate food, family, and the unique culture of the upper midwest.

Stradal's writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, Granta, The Rumpus, and Los Angeles Review of books.  His debut novel, Kitchens of the Great Midwest, won the American Booksellers Association Indie's Choice Award for Adult Debut Book for the year.  Born and raised in Minnesota, he now lives in California with his family.
