Classical Music Unveiled, with Rochester Symphony

Primary tabs

Program Description

Event Description

From comedic characters to windswept adventures, music has the ability to be the greatest of storytellers. Rochester Symphony conductor, Chia-Hsuan Lin (pronounced Jah-Shwen), reveals how music can create storytelling elements like comic timing and mischief in the Overture to The Barber of Seville by Rossini, and adventure in the Highlands with the “Scottish” Symphony, by Mendelssohn. Special guest, Sangyoon Kim, will join Maestro Lin and share demonstrations and excerpts on clarinet from the Clarinet Concerto No. 1, by Weber.
