Create a collage/painting! Enjoy the comradery of other artists.
Collage, the French word for “to glue” describes gluing a wide variety of materials, paper, fabric, and photos to a surface. Picasso and other artists used collage which can be used alone or combined with painting. In this 2-hour class you can create your own project or do the project the instructor has provided. We will go over collage techniques and talk briefly about the history of this wonderfully versatile media. You are encouraged to bring your own materials such as photos or other memorabilia. Beginning and seasoned artists are encouraged to participate.
Pat Dunn-Walker is originally from Illinois where she received her training in graphic design. She moved to Minnesota to pursue a career in design. After working in the field for a number of years she switched her focus from commercial work to fine art. Pat has exhibited her work around southeastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities. She loves combining the current subject of her work with found materials especially old print ads. She resides in Rochester; Minnesota and her work is in private collections around the United States. www.patriciadunnwalker.com
