Event Description
In programs designed for all ages, musicians of the Rochester Symphony will be sharing their music in a series of small group appearances. By talking about the instruments and demonstrating them individually and together, the performers will give attendees insight into how music is made and how to listen to live performance. There will be plenty of time for questions and interaction as well!
Brass players will demonstrate the spectrum of sound that can come out of simple air pushed through metal. From smooth melodies, bright fanfares, and exciting jazz, our musicians will talk about how the sounds are made and will perform sample excerpts.
Musicians appearing include:
David Wall, trumpet
Maximillian McNutt, trumpet
Matthew Renz, horn
Brian Kelly, trombone
Charles Wazanowski, tuba
